The Danube - the heart of the Swabian Danube Valley
The 2860 km long river connects the Black Forest with
the Black Sea and meanders through it
around 750 square kilometers of region
Ulm / Neu-Ulm extends to Donauwörth.
Historic region with a distinctive nature.
Today the Danube and its surrounding area are used intensively.
However, this did not detract from the special beauty of this region.
Fantastic riparian forests form a fairytale backdrop for every bike tour.
The once extensive flat moors, called Swedes Riede,
today are lush meadows with species-rich reed vegetation,
Globeflowers and orchids.
