The peat adventure path - who is behind it?

At the initiative of some private individuals, the "Torferlebnispfad Bremental" working group was set up in 2003 as a working group of the Jettingen-Scheppach market community. From the beginning, the aim was not to let the peat craft be forgotten, precisely because it was of great importance in the history of Jetting. Therefore, a nature trail should be created in the landscape conservation area Bremental that would do it justice.
In the beginning, a peat cut was revived on the private property of today's chairman, Josef Krumm. The population was asked to provide old peat-cutting tools and eyewitnesses were asked about their memories of the subject.
Later there was a small group of hardworking men, the so-called "pensioners gang", who carried out various building measures, such as building a bridge and a boardwalk, stabilizing an old hut, installing two new original peat huts and also building an outdoor seat in the forest. In addition, there were various care measures that were initially necessary with a lot of effort and must be carried out regularly today. All of this work has been and is being carried out on a voluntary basis. In this way, an educational path has now been created, which has developed into a real "adventure path" through the various options.

The tours cover a wide range and the range of topics is constantly being expanded.
After the first year of existence, the participants are very happy about the great interest of the visitors.
They are also happy to accept donations, since the funds are very limited in relation to the work that is constantly pending.
